Graduated with a Master’s degree in Chemistry from the Università degli Studi of Milan, Mr. Gislon holds a post-graduate diploma in “Contentieux des brevets en Europe” (European Patent Litigation) from the University of Strasbourg and a post-graduate certificate in Engineering from the Politecnico of Milan. After three years as a research chemist at the University of Milan, in 1986, he began to work in the IP field. From 1976 to 1994 he was a consultant in pre-vulcanized latex industry. He is a founding partner of Marietti, Gislon e Trupiano, Torner, Juncosa i Associats and Fabiano, Franke & MGT.

Since 1996 he has been an appointed member of the EPO Examination Committee for the European Qualifying Examination (EQE-ECIII). He has been a speaker at seminars and courses in Europe (EPO), Argentina (CONICET) and India. He is a speaker for the University of Strasbourg course in European Patent Litigation.

His main technical fields are:

→ automotive: air-bags, safety belts;
→ textile: fabrics; high tech fabrics; dyes and yarns; non-woven fabrics;
→ thermoplastic polymers and their processing;
→ general mechanics: vending and HoReCa machines; packaging machines; roller coasters and amusement rides;
→ prostheses and medical implants; technical and medical gases.

As a patent litigator, he is active both with oppositions and appeals before the EPO, and in Italy, where he represents parties in patent litigations and where he also acts as Court Technical Expert for the Patent Court of Milan. In Italian litigations, Mr. Gislon was the patent attorney of several national and international clients, including the European Central Bank.

Mr. Gislon is fluent in Italian, English, French and Spanish.
