Piero Fabiano has a vast experience in business consulting in the field of industrial property, created over the years strongly diversifying his training and work environments.
He began his career working for some of the most important Italian IP firms for over seven years, dealing with drafting and prosecution of both Italian and foreign patent applications, gaining experience in opposition proceedings and appeals before the EPO, in drafting of legal opinions of patentability and freedom to operate, and last but not least, in patent lawsuits.

Subsequently, for about three years, he worked for the IP department of one of the leading companies worldwide in the tire industry, dealing with the management of an important IP portfolio.

He then directed the patent department of the oldest patent firm in Ticino for over five years and later became a member of one of the most interesting and innovative consulting companies in the field of trademarks, patents and designs in Switzerland.

He was interviewed in 2014 for a survey on the patentability in Lugano, and in 2010 by the Swiss Radio in a cultural program aimed at addressing the inventors to the correct approach to innovation.

He led training courses in industrial property (CONVEY; MOPI (master operating in industrial property)) and is regularly invited as a guest in the Master in Business Administration of Supsi (University of Italian Switzerland).
